2011? But, um, where did 2010 go?

WTF.
It's New Years already? That was quick.

2010--An overview
Anyway, 2010 was pretty good. Better than craptastic 2009--which I can hardly remember now. Ah well. :]
2010 got pretty good, pretty quick. Someone popped into my life by mid-January, it then became a friendship (albeit slightly awkward) by the end of the month/start of February, and quickly transitioned into a romantic relationship (even more awkward [at first]) by Valentine's day, to just amazingness from March till now (<3).

Yes, I'm talking about this one. ^
And yes, I know he can't keep his eyes open for any picture he takes... I've learned to accept it now. I'm done trying to convince him he's not Asian. ;o

Now for the rest of the year~
The rest of junior year was stressful. Had to drop math... yadda yadda yadda. Let's just say not my best academically...
But! I got to go to Portland, which was amazing! and then San Deigo! Tabz <3's YBK Trips/Perks.

Didn't go in the order I wanted... But pictured above is the full editing staff on Mission Beach in San Diego in July and then part of the editing staff in Portland in April.

This year i started my last year in high school.
Perks: Easy schedule, off campus lunches, sleeping in, most stressful class is yearbook.
Cons: Last year of free education :[
Overall, it's a pretty sweet deal.

I also turned 18! 10-10-10, pretty awesome birthday that was celebrated with family and close friends. I also voted for the first time; only one thing I voted for actually got voted in... But it was still pretty momentous for me. :]

Christmas was great, too. Daniel spent Christmas Eve with my family (his family came along, too!), and I celebrated Christmas with his. Even though I couldn't get the cool gifts he wanted, I got him two pairs of jeans; which he really needed.
And being shipped right now is the dress Daniel bought me that I really wanted. I can't wait until I can wear it.
Soda Fountain Dress in Ginger from ModCloth ^

And no, this won't be a blog just about Daniel or anything. I love my friends, too! This year I went on many shopping trips with Kiko; I don't even want to think about how much money we have spent... She's also my closest confidant, and probably the closest thing I have to a girl best friend right now. I'm quite grateful to her. It also helps that she amuses me with her cookiness. ;]

And then there's Josh. Who always knows when I'm upset even if he's hasn't seen much of me that day. We usually have late night talks when we're both suffering from bouts of insomnia. We both give each other advice. I can always rely on him for his frankness. Plus, he introduced me to Daniel.

Blake. I've been friends with him since sophomore year. As weird as he can be... I love this teddy bear. That's right, Blake, I just called you a teddy bear. I don't care if you hate it. <3

Ben. Who else could I skip around with?

YBK Editors- I'm around these girls so much. There's no awkwardness with this editing group, we're all friends and we're fairly all close. We laugh, we eat food made by late staffers, get excited over each other's dance dresses, and occasionally edit (kidding, our lives our dedicated to the book). I appreciate these girls for making my yearbook experience this year awesome.

Theatre kiddies- I know it seems like abandoned you all, but I do miss you guys. Thank you for always being supportive whenever I need it. :D

The resolutions that were kept
Last year I made a list of resolutions which you can read here. Overall, I think I truly accomplished seven or eight of them. Which I think is pretty good.

After biting my nails all of my life, I stopped.
I know they're still not the prettiest nails in the world, but I'm still pretty effing proud. I do occasionally still nip at them and my new habit is chipping my nail polish out of nervousness, but for me this is still a pretty good improvement.

After a crappy junior year, I've stepped it up academically.

I know it's probably hard to read this picture, but I promise you I got straight "A"'s. I worked my ass off this semester and it paid off. Not one missing assignment. ;D Hopefully I can keep that up this upcoming semester.

I think I smile more, too. I'm pretty happy. Life is pretty good.

And I did get over IT and I am a little more daring with my decisions... These were the first two resolutions that were completed this year.

I still haven't lost weight or really gotten to that point where I can say that I love myself  fullheartedly, but I'm getting there.

Breaking my habit of biting my nails really proved to me that I can really put my mind into doing something. I know I have it in me to make an effort and change things with my weight. I also know I'm on the right path to like myself; I'm more happy now, things are going great.

Resolutions for this year?
Eh, not really. At least nothing extreme like this year's.

All I can really come up with is this--
Appreciate what I do have and self improvement/love.

Anyway~
I hope you all have a Happy New Year and that no one dies from a bad firework or something.
Wow, that sounded terrible. But I'll keep it, because it's a pretty genuine wish.
